Common Mistakes
Pitfalls to avoid as a beginner — learn from others' errors

Dosing Mistakes
Errors that can waste product or cause issues:
- Not doing the reconstitution math correctly — always double-check concentration with a calculator
- Starting at too high a dose — begin at the low end and increase gradually
- Confusing mcg with mg — 1mg = 1000mcg. A 250mcg dose is NOT 250mg!
- Skipping doses or inconsistent timing — most peptides require consistent daily use
- Running a protocol too long without breaks — follow recommended cycle lengths
Warning. The #1 mistake is confusing units. 250mcg is 0.25mg. Double-check your math every time, especially with a new vial.
Storage Mistakes
How people ruin their peptides:
- Leaving reconstituted peptides out of the fridge for extended periods
- Freezing reconstituted peptides (ice crystals destroy the molecules)
- Exposing vials to direct sunlight or heat
- Using regular sterile water instead of bacteriostatic water (no preservative = bacterial growth)
- Not tracking reconstitution date and using expired product
Injection Mistakes
Common errors with injection technique:
- Reusing syringes — needles dull after one use and increase infection risk
- Not cleaning the injection site or vial top with alcohol
- Injecting into the same spot repeatedly (causes lumps and reduced absorption)
- Injecting too quickly — take 5-10 seconds for the injection
- Not removing air bubbles from the syringe before injecting
Research Mistakes
Errors in planning and sourcing:
- Buying from unverified vendors without third-party testing
- Not getting baseline bloodwork before starting
- Stacking multiple new peptides at once — impossible to tell what's working
- Following random social media dosing advice without verification
- Expecting overnight results and quitting too early
Tip. The best approach is to educate yourself, start simple, track everything, and be patient. Peptide therapy is a marathon, not a sprint.
